Re^4: Resources for Moose

The definitive source of the Moose documentation is the POD, more specifically the Moose::Manual and Moose::Cookbook docs. These docs were mostly written (or re-written) by Dave Rolsky through a grant from the Perl Foundation and are kept up to date and current. This is where our documentation efforts are focused and will be for the foreseeable future.

The wikibook project was not started by any of us and honestly none of us have time to maintain it. Additionally, from what I have been told, the license for the Moose POD docs is incompatible with what wikibooks allows so we can't just upload those there. If I had my choice, I would remove it entirely since it is filled with inaccuracies and misunderstandings.

The wikibook project was not started by any of us and honestly none of us have time to maintain it Maybe you add one note that moose team does not recommend it because it is outdated. That wikibook says the author is http://search.cpan.org/~stevan/, and he has email at http://www.iinteractive.com/, and he released Moose-0.54.	[reply]

That wikibook says the author is http://search.cpan.org/~stevan/, No, that is the author of Moose, and that is me and I have never touched the wikibook, nor has any core Moose developer. I have asked the author (Evan Carroll) to take it down, but he says no and I am sure he would remove any statement such as the one you suggest. My only recourse is to make sure people know it is not recommended though channels like Perlmonks. -stvn	[reply]
