The wikibook project was not started by any of us and honestly none of us have time to maintain it

Maybe you add one note that moose team does not recommend it because it is outdated.

That wikibook says the author is http://search.cpan.org/~stevan/, and he has email at http://www.iinteractive.com/, and he released Moose-0.54.

No, that is the author of Moose, and that is me and I have never touched the wikibook, nor has any core Moose developer.

I have asked the author (Evan Carroll) to take it down, but he says no and I am sure he would remove any statement such as the one you suggest. My only recourse is to make sure people know it is not recommended though channels like Perlmonks.

Wait a minute wait a minute, so its not a editable wiki? You cant drop a single line?

No, your not understanding. The wikibook is run by Evan Carroll, and NOT by the Moose core development team. Evan has said (see above) that he thinks it still has value, while a fair portion of the core Moose contributors think that he has gotten a number of things wrong and/or incomplete. This has been an ongoing debate since Evan started the wikibook, it is not worth discussing the politics and assorted bullsh*t that has gone on for years. And it is certainly not worth playing wiki-editing games with Evan to try and put a disclaimer on the front page.

In short, it exists, but it is not "official" in any way, shape or form and it is not recommended by the authors and developers of Moose. You are free to read it (and edit it) all you want, but you should take it with a very VERY large grain of salt.
