I'm planning a BoF-something during YAPC::Europe. It will be Saturday evening August 4. But what should we do exactly? An obvious option would be a get-together in a pub and drink lots of beer. But we have a pubcrawl planned for Friday evening...

I'll be the victim to organize it, but please give me ideas about WHAT I should organize....

I have an idea, elaborate a complex scheme to make *the* killer XP-node. With the sheer power of several well-known XP-whoring monks gathered, that should be fun. Of course this activity should not prevent us from drinking a couple of beers.

What can you do, well :
    • Advertise www.perlmonks.monk
    • Dress in monks (don't forget to shave your head...)
    • Take a lot of photos for those who won't be there, like me :-(
    • Show that Perl is FUN
    • Prevent Book from scaring people whith his obfuscates ;-)
    • Install Webcams, to allow missing people to participate anyway...

Hi, maybe a 'OFF TOPIC' question, but what does the term 'Birds of Feather' mean ??
    Havn't ever heard about that.

Thanks physi -- very bad englishspeaker :-)

There's an expression "birds of a feather flock together." The term "birds of a feather" means "birds that are of the same kind", or more generally, "those with common interests." A "BOF" session is just a group of people meeting about a common interest.

Does this have a romantic meaning?
