You need to be in the directory where Image::OCR::Tesseract is unpacked.

    when i ran root@web /#cpan Image::OCR::Tesseract the following error message came and it is saying cannot create MakeFile.pl...

      Looks like you've tried to install this a few times. You need to start reading the installation notes for modules, I don't keep telling you to do this for my benefit, I learned that lesson the first time I had to install a module. do:

      cpan> clean Image::OCR::Tesseract
cpan> install Image::OCR::Tesseract

      I think you may see the error message:

       CPAN.pm: Going to build L/LE/LEOCHARRE/Image-OCR-Tesseract-1.24.tar.g
+z

Cannot find tesseract executable.
No 'Makefile' created  LEOCHARRE/Image-OCR-Tesseract-1.24.tar.gz
