Where else do you see this "standard disclaimer"? The last time I quoted this rurban said:

"Your citations are wrong."

Given that he has the ownership of something which he claims is not accurate, shouldn't the documentation be updated to reflect this?

I think you are confused. The comments about perlcc from the URL in the OP are flat out wrong.

The comments you dug out of the PL file are what they are, a general disclaimer.

What is inaccurate other than your understanding? You're not even quoting what he said accurately.

Let's take a step back. OP asks for help to create something clearly for production use. A tool which states "Use for production purposes is strongly discouraged." is recommended by the author. I query if the documentation needs updating given that this is the case. How is questioning this "inaccurate"? At what point did I mention anything in OPs link?

"You're not even quoting what he said accurately."

This is a literal cut/paste from the documentation, in what way am I not quoting accurately?

I didn't see your link to a previous conversation.

However, the fact remains that the comments about perlcc in the OP's URL are absolutely untrue regarding its buggy and unmaintained state.
