Why translating?

Apart from the "jam" I had no problems understanding what you said. ;)

(It's a mix of several European languages).

    AFAIK, "jam" stems directly from latin "iam" "already".

    Relating to translating, between ~ 1979 and 1990, there existed a machine translation project using Esperanto as an intermediate language, such that disambiguations would only need to take place once, i.e. when translating into the intermediate E-o.

      As in the schoolboy classic "Caesar had some jam for tea" ("Caesar adsum iam forte", from De Bello Gallico).

        It took me a while to get the joke here, till I realized I had to pronounce the Latin in an English way... ;)

        Side note: the word Kaiser is pretty close to the original "classical" pronunciation of Caesar.
