I vote "scriptorium". A sequester room full of a bunch of shaved-head monks, heads down over menial tasks that few care about, producing beautifully illustrated volumes...

http://dictionary.net/cabal yields this:
4. The secret artifices or machinations of a few persons united in a close design; intrigue.
How about calling the section: The conspicuous machinations of Cabal
...I like it.
The section description should state:
This section is used by Cabal's pmdev order of Monks in plotting improvements to the inner workings of the Monastery's raw sewage macerator, boiler room, nuclear reactor, and cold fusion pump. Cabal only may post parent nodes to this section. But fresh thought often spawns progress, so any PerlMonk may add comments to existing discussion threads within this section.
Please remember that Monastery related discussions of global interest to the general PerlMonks population should be entertained in the PerlMonks Discussion section. gods can and will remove off-topic content from The conspicuous machinations of Cabal.

I like "Cabalist's Chambers", "Cabalist's Council Chambers", "Cabalist's Chancery", etc... though upon more reflection, tye's suggestion might be better.
Oh, added pmtopic => note to reply settings. tye, how did you manage to reply without this?

Ah, thanks -- I didn't realize the section pages still used the wrong one of those (and passes a plethoria of unused parameters); will fix.
Oh, while I remember -- when you do your changes to Everything::HTML.pm, can you change urlGen, line 513, to sepperate with ';' instead of '&'? It'd make our HTML much cleaner... Oh. Looks like you already uploaded the changes, thanks!
