My children Asphodel and Marcel with me outside Chick-Fil-A for family night summer 2011.
You can find the origins of my moniker here.
I am retired and cruise - perhaps I will have time to get back into Perl.

I sometimes write in my journal journal.

Need an expert? I am available for hire. If you are interested in details, please let me know.

Need a sorted hash? Tie::Hash::Sorted.
Think you might need an iterator? Iterator Tutorial

Monks I have met in chronological order:

Take any advice I give with a grain of salt. I am usually in the right ball park, but seldom in the right seat.

2007-12-02: My son Marcel was born
2007-04-10: I have a different node in the 4 different categories of Best Nodes (day, week, month, year).

Why not to use Email::Valid to parse email addresses

Over the years, I have had strong disagreements regarding not using Email::Valid to parse email addresses. These arguments have been with well known and respected members of the perl community - most notably chromatic and merlyn. I am providing a list of nodes here in case it comes up again. It will likely be helpful to read the whole thread to get context before reading my response.
