Those were pretty insane days, and a lot of fun! Thanks for the heads up about the line endings issue. Now fixed as suggested. Note that I left a srand 1; in the code which I'd been using while debugging to get a consistent game world. Probably best to comment that out. Maybe of interest is that the interpreter provides support for TRACE statements (see ParesTrace for usage hints) and break statements (that break into the debugger) - just in case you feel inclined to do a little exploration.
Optimising for fewest key strokes only makes sense transmitting to Pluto or beyond
