This is just a heads up for you GUI folks out there. I just got shown a kickass library that blew my socks off.

Check Prima out. Its a whole lot nicer looking than any TK ive seen so far.

    • Update:
Ok, originally this was a meditation. Which meant that the below update would have been applied to the main node.

Ok, im sitting here getting a walk through of Prima, and all I can do is laugh and shout at how cool it is. Dmitry has done some reallly cool stuff. Full GUI designer (in a Delphi style), lots of toys. Pod viewer. File vewier. Matrix Style demo. ALL IN PERL The only C involved is a libary to povide a common GUI baseline. It derives features from Windows,OS/2 and X11, and its really cool. Watching him drag a font onto a Window and have it change its font (ala OS/2) was just too cool so I added this update.

This is the freshest coolest neatest thing i perl that I have seen (besides Perl itself.) If GUI in perl has been something you wanted, but TK didnt move your world you have to check this stuff out.

It's not that new ;) (GUI) Windows Programming FAQ You are right to be impressed ;)

update: Here is something I contemplated, that might come to fruition one day (maybe)

MJD says "you can't just make shit up and expect the computer to know what you mean, retardo!"
    I run a Win32 PPM repository for perl 5.6.x and 5.8.x -- I take requests (README).
** The third rule of perl club is a statement of fact: pod is sexy.
