That is indeed another way to do the same thing, but many argue against using map in void context. In older versions of perl, it was inefficient, because it would build a list of return values. In newer versions of perl, it's just bad style.

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
