Interestingly there is a tool that does exactly the same thing as spew - except with graphics. The terminals are shapes (SQUARE, CIRCLE, etc) rather than character sequences. It picks a random weighted path through the grammar to draw the drawing. Check it out here: Context Free Design Grammar Some of the output is downright spooky -Andrew.
