Getting the difference of directory structures is trickier than it initially sounds; I'd recommend getting a program that does it rather than trying to roll your own (even with Perl :-).

I see you're on Win32. I'd recommend getting Cygwin which is free (both in price and in license) and using the diff program in directory mode. There are other options out there if you prefer. Google is your friend.
