Though I did it many times here, I have to recommend Advanced Perl Programming by Sriram Srinivasan. From my point of view, he describes things how they are, explaining rules, not only creating ambiguous examples. Everybody is different. For instance, I don't like Programming Perl, but it means nothing for anybody else.
