The shard folders are on a Linux machine(Mandriva) and I am on Windows.

The folders are accessed using the Samba Server.

On Windows you can use the NET command to get information about the CIFS services running locally or in remote hosts.

Once you now the name of the shares, you can browse then in the same way as local file system as long as you use the \\hostname\share\path\to\file naming convention.

For instance, File::Find should work over CIFS shares (btw, there are better modules than this one).

Which are the those better modules ?

Is there any module which takes ipaddress as input and then browse through the shared folders ?
