Those people voting spork need a talking too. This will only increase world-wide spork proliferation. Sporkage everywhere! Imagine all the horror. Eventually there may be spork silverware in your own home! Face it folks, it's nearly as useless as those little flexible plastic knives. They cut toast, but that's about it.

Besides, I insist, it's not a spork, it's a foon...

FWIW, I was the first to vote P38. Which P38? The one where Larry explains regular expressions? Or the can opener? Heaven knows you can't eat using a can-opener. It sure beats the straw though.

Other good poll options would be "magically turn it into a pizza" or "increase proximity to beer source". I still want to see this Mindstorm spork (no! foon!) however.

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
