in thread Win32::Daemon - dead or alive?

Thanks for the hints. I have been looking at Activestates offering and found in comparison that Win32::Daemon looks promising. For this reason, I want to know what is happening to that particular module.

I'd be curious to know what you find out re: ActiveState vs Win32::Daemon. None of my Windows programs require a daemon, but you never know....

Win32::Daemon is a module that allows you to write Windows Services. Take a look at the documentation - its still on CPAN.

Yes, I am aware of that. The question evolved into whether Win32:Daemon or the PerlSvc utility from ActiveState was "better". That I don't know. I suspect that "this depends on X,Y,Z..." (ie your mileage may vary).
